“Happy” Hour of Code for Educators

December 10, 2015

5:00 PM

Bell Works Building at 101 Crawfords Corner Road, Holmdel, NJ

Join us for a fun evening of exploring coding in education!

Educators are invited to attend this informal event to become more familiar with how computer science and computational thinking can be integrated in K-12 classrooms across content areas.

Through hands-on activities and presentations, educators and parents can learn about various applications and technologies and discover new opportunities for young people to engage with computer science concepts.

Whether you work with pre-K children through young adults, there’s something for everyone!

No experience required! Feel free to bring your own device (smartphone, tablet, laptop) to use at the event.

Explore learning opportunities such as: • Code Studio • Minecraft • Khan Academy • Scratch • Makey Makey • iPad apps • Sphero • Dash and Dot Robots by Wonder Workshop • Arduino • and “unplugged” activities that do not require technology

The event is taking place at Vi Innovation Hub in the Bell Works building in Holmdel, which is undergoing a spectacular redesign that includes plans for a Maker Space, Media Production Studio, and much more!
